What can I say…

It’s been said, “if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.” And so I thank you, most sincerely, for allowing me the opportunity to ‘not work’ and thereby create moments of sheer happiness and joy. Without each and every one of you, it would not be possible for me to express my unwavering passion for all things chocolate.

I am so fortunate to be able to live my days immersed in the fine art of confections, and to share it all with you as an artist, is beyond words. Whether it’s through an order from our website, creating a corporate event, wedding, party, or favors, being at a demo, or being live with you every weekend at The Stockton Market, I am grateful and I am overwhelmed by your loyalty.

And to those of you with whom I have the greatest pleasure being with at The Stockton Market every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I am honored, I am lucky. I truly look forward to the weekends and seeing each of you—you have become family. Over a cup of hot drinking chocolate or tasting a chocolate truffle, cordial, bark, or a French macaron, we share stories about life-changing foods, about the people we love, the lives of our children and those we hold dear, goals accomplished, obstacles to overcome, and knowing when and how to let go. Allergies, ailments, ambitions; restaurants, relatives, religion; solving the world’s problems, we dish and we cover it all. We laugh, we cry, we shed tears of joy, of sadness, and of hope. And we look forward to seeing each other the next time, to share in life’s journey.

It is my sincere hope that with the dawning of 2014, you find yourself a little closer to those you love, closer to reaching your goals and grabbing on to what it is that will give you peace and a happy new year.

Take good care everyone, and thank you again.
